Advice for young people in care
Young people in care can access independent advocacy and advice services, in order to have a say on the care services they receive.
You can find details of those services here.
You can request an advocate any time you want if you are in care, have left care or are a young person involved with Children's Services.
Youthreach
Youthreach offer a range of counselling and information services for vulnerable young people.
Their counsellors can work with a wide range of problems including relationship difficulties, school worries, depression, loss and abuse.

Voice for the child in care
Voice for the Child in Care advocates are independent and trained to support you to say what you want to say.
They will speak for you if you feel that you’re not being listened to, you’re not happy with decisions that are being made, or you want something to change.
They are employed to work for you so you are in control. What you say to an advocate does not have to be passed on to your social worker or Children's Services (unless you or others are in real danger).
Your advocate will tell you about your rights, talk with you about your concerns, agree what action you want to take and give you support.
