Youth Opportunities Fund
How to apply
To apply for a grant from the Youth Opportunities Fund:
you and your friends need to come up with an idea for a way to spend the funds.
talk it through with the adult or group who is going to support you
call Youth and Play to get an application form - the contact number is on the right
fill in the application (you can add an extra two sheets of A4 with additional information but no more)
send you application form to:
Youth and Play Service

Woolwich
London SE18 6DF.
How much can I apply for?
You can apply for money from the Youth Opportunity Fund (£500 - £5000) for things like:
residential trips
a dance tutor
cost of hiring recording studio to produce a CD etc.
You can apply for money from the Youth Capital Fund (£500- £10,000) for things like:
refurbishment or improvement for facilities for young people to access
ICT equipment etc.
You can apply individually, or for a combination of both funds.
Budget and spending
The budget should be written in detail with quotes attached. If the activities are to be subsidised the budget should reflect this as a projected income.
All the money you are given needs to be spent by the end of the financial year that it was granted in (a financial year runs from April 1 to March 31).
