Council Services

If you experience racist, homophobic or disability harassment whilst using any Council service, please report it immediately at the place where it happens.

Homophobic Crime:  The Metro Centre

You can report homophobia and transphobia to the Metro Centre. They work with the police to stop hate crime and identify areas where anti-social behaviour is taking place. 

The Metro Centre offers a confidential service in a safe space with experienced professionals.

Disability Related Crime: Greenwich Association of Disabled People (GAD)

GAD provides a ‘third party reporting site’ for people experiencing harassment and abuse on the grounds of disability. 

Disabled people should contact GAD to report the problem and to receive advice and support about what action can be taken.

Police contacts

To report any hate crime wherever it happens, contact your local police station.

If you want to know what will happen if you report to the police or want to discuss it first, contact Greenwich Police Community Safety Unit.  This is a specialist unit of police officers who have been trained to respond to hate crime, including racist, homophobic and disability harassment.
