Organising your will
Writing a will helps save your family from worry and means your wishes will be followed. If you have an illness, you can also write a living will to set out the kinds of treatment you want to receive.
Why write a will?
Even if you feel you don't have much to leave, it's important that what you do have is left to those you care about.
If you don't make a will, your spouse or civil partner will inherit automatically. If you have a partner but are not married, they will not automatically inherit so you need to make plans in advance.

Living will
You can produce a living will, also known as an Advance Directive, to set out what types of medical treatment you do or don't want in specific circumstances if you become incapable of giving consent.
