What’s the best way to prepare food in order to avoid food poisoning?

The main rule is to always keep raw and cooked foods separate. Remember that harmful bacteria can also spread between raw and cooked foods through hands, cloths, knives and chopping-boards, so be careful to ensure that these are cleaned thoroughly between uses. For more information, please see food preparation.
