Air pollution
Some residents are particularly vulnerable to poor air quality or pollution. If you, or someone you care for, suffers from asthma, emphysema, bronchitis, heart disease or angina, then you can register to be sent an alert when there is a forecast of poor air quality or pollution.
How do I register?
Registration to the service is free.
Go to the airTEXT website and register now.
The website also contains a leaflet providing some basic advice.
The alert service is designed to help you ensure that you have any necessary medication to hand and are prepared for the poorer air quality.
