The court may impose a period of reparation or mediation.
Reparation
Reparation provides the opportunity for you - as a young offender - to make amends either directly to the victim of your crime or to the community in general.
Reparation could involve you carrying out some form of practical work, meeting the victim or writing a letter of apology.
Mediation
Victim – offender mediation is used to help young offenders to understand the consequences of their actions.
The victim is also able to gain some practical and emotional recompense for what has occurred.
