Community Safety Team

The Community Safety Team helps develop, co-ordinate and monitor the Council’s work to reduce crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour and the fear of these in Greenwich by:

  • supporting the work of the Safer Greenwich Partnership (read more about the partnership in the Council and democracy section).
  • promoting and co-ordinating community safety activities across all Council services
  • seeking new sources of funding for community safety initiatives
  • working with voluntary and community agencies in the Borough promoting community safety
  • work done by Greenwich InfoShare Team
The team also has:
  • An Anti-Social Behaviour Co-ordinator who can be contacted to help counteract anti-social behaviour experienced by those residents other than council tenants and leaseholders. Council tenants and leaseholders should contact their local neighbourhood housing office
  • A Domestic Violence Project Officer who works closely with the Police Community Safety Team and the Domestic Violence Forum to help develop effective policies and strategies to combat domestic violence.

Greenwich InfoShare Team

The team provides regular updates on crime trends in the borough of Greenwich. Until recently the main source of crime data has been incidents and crimes reported to the Police. This is now being expanded to take in information given to council departments and other agencies to provide a more complete picture of crime in the borough.
