Fairtrade Fortnight
This year's Fairtrade Fortnight is 22 February to 7 March and will be focusing on 'The Big Swap'. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the big issues that affect farmers, workers and farming communities.
Fairtrade Fortnight will be kicking off with a launch event on 22 February and a Eltham Fairtrade market on March 7.

What is Fairtrade?
Fairtrade ensures that farmers are guaranteed a fair price for the goods they produce. Any extra money is invested in their communities.

Fairtrade in Greenwich
Greenwich has been awarded Fairtrade status for our commitment to supporting Fairtrade. Events in the borough have included an annual fashion show, several Fairtrade-themed markets and a visit to the borough by a special Fairtrade bus.
The Council and other organisations regularly hold Fairtrade promotional events to promote Fairtrade across the borough.
