Greenwich's Town Centre Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) system comprises of a number of cameras placed at strategic locations primarily within:

  • Eltham
  • Greenwich
  • Woolwich
The CCTV system involves a linked network of cameras, all with full pan, tilt, and zoom options.

What is CCTV used for?

The CCTV system is monitored and our team of highly skilled operators use it to quickly alert the Police to any criminal activity they witness.

As CCTV picture quality has greatly improved, it can be used as evidence in any court case. Often the evidence is indisputable, leading to swift prosecutions.

The technology can be a solution for such problems as:

  • vandalism
  • drug use
  • drunkenness
  • racial harassment
  • sexual harassment
  • loitering
  • disorderly behaviour.
