Do you live in Woolwich Common? Why not join Changes in Common and get involved in shaping your environment?
What is Changes in Common?
Changes in Common operates from its own shop on Herbert Road.
It is a resident-led partnership with councillors, service providers, local businesses and voluntary groups all working together. It's a way of working together to make sure services meet local needs.
In the past it has dealt with issues such as:
local services
jobs and training
childcare
community safety
Membership
Membership is free and there are different levels of membership available to suit everyone.
'Armchair Supporters' will receive a special membership newsletter and can get involved in surveys and polls.
'Issue based campaigners' will be able to get involved in specific issue that concern them.
Those with more time can take 'Door Step Challenge' membership where they work with their local Tenants and Residents Association to make changes to their street or estate.
Residents can also become members of the Changes in Common Board to represent the views of local people.
All new members are invited to a welcome meeting where you can get more information and discuss the membership options.
