Art for Adults
Drawing and Painting - Intermediate/Advanced Students undertake their own drawing and painting projects through turorially advised studio practice, with demonstrations and critical advice provided within the studio context. The course embraces a wide range of drawing and painting techniques, styles and genres, and focuses on meeting the critical and technical needs of each student. Tuition is one-to-one. Materials: To begin with, basic drawing equipment - soft pencils, rubber, pencil sharpener, masking tape. £165 for 11 sessions. Starts week beginning 21 September.

Art for Adults
Colour and Imagination Projects are designed to introduce and explore concepts of abstraction and expressionism. Colour theory is central to many of the projects. Students attending this class are encouraged to respond in an experimental and expressive way to the projects. Each project has a central idea and/or theme, often related to the history of art and contemporary art. All the art classes take place in the renovated original Victorian Art Studio. £165 for 11 sessions. Starts week beginning 21 September.

Art for Adults
Figure Painting and Drawing - This course is created for all ability group participation. Conducted primarily through drawing and painting from life-models and portraiture, all within an art-historical context. £165 for 11 sessions. Starts week beginning 20 September.

Art for Adults
Fresh Art - Introduction to Drawing. This practical drawing course provides an introduction to the basics of observational drawing and is aimed particulary at students with no or little prior drawing experience. Over 6 weeks the course will cover a range of techniques and media and include still life, head drawing and figure drawing. It will involve one-to-one teaching to allow for individual development. £90 for 6 sessions. Starts week beginning 10 October.

Art for Adults
Oil and Acrylics - The emphasis this term will be on painting from imagination. In addition to using the foundation of good observational painting and drawing skills and practice, many sources may be taken as a starting point for paintings. It is ideal for people who have some past drawing and painting experience and want to extend and develop their practice beyond their normal boundaries. Tuition is one-to-one so participants at all levels will get the level of help they need. £165 for 11 sessions. Starts week beginning 18 September.

Art for Adults
Open Studio is a forum for artists from all backgrounds to work together on their own projects in a serious studio environment in the renovated Victorian artisms. £100 for a book of 5 sessions tickets. Single session tickets are also available for £35. Starts week beginning 18 September.

Art for Adults
Watercolour Gouache and Acrylic - This class encompasses all types of water-based painting, particulary watercolour and gouache. Acrylic may also be used, as students select their own medium. The class is best suited to those with some painting experience, but, as a minimum, students should have previously done some basic drawing and/or painting-using colour. £151 for 11 sessions. Starts week beginning 20 September.

Art Skills
For children age 9 to 11 years - Over the course of the year children will learn specific skills such as basic printmaking, mosaics, video art, painting, plaster casting and clay and wire sculpture. Meridian Speakers Club  
Meridian Speakers is a local club in Greenwich where you can develop public speaking confidence in a supportive learning environment. Guests are always welcome and meetings are held twice a month to develop our communication and presentation skills. It’s a great way to overcome fear of public speaking and to develop confidence.
