From Decent Homes to Sustainable Communities.
The overarching theme had three strands, as follows:
• how best can housing investment support sustainable communities?
• housing management on mixed tenure, high-density estates
• what other physical characteristics are needed to support sustainable communities in which people can thrive, and how should the Council seek to secure investment in these?

How to Build Healthy Urban Environments.
This project, funded by CfPS, considers the ways that health outcomes for both the expected additional population and existing population can be improved by building healthy urban environments. It complements the work that is currently being undertaken on the Social Framework, which projects the capacity needed for public services in the future.

The review work is continuing into the 2007 to 2008 year.

Promoting the Health and Well Being of the Workforce (pdf 68kb).
This review analysed the main reasons for sickness absence and then considered how health promotion could assist employees to improve their health (including around stress management, smoking cessation, healthy eating and weight management, alcohol and drugs misuse and exercise and fitness).

Review of the adult and community learning contract.

This review included an analysis of performance against the current contract, examination of national strategies and funding streams and their implications for future delivery in Greenwich, and a review of the Council’s vision, objectives and required key performance outcomes and how the function can contribute to these.

This review examined how the Council, and its key partner Age Concern provide services which help to combat isolation and exclusion among the older people in the borough
