Spray paints
It is an offence to sell aerosol spray paints to anyone under the age of 16 even if they look older.
The owner of the premises, as well as the actual seller, may be liable if a sale of spray paint to an underage person is made.
If you are not sure the customer is over the age of 16, ask for proof of age.
If no proof of age can be produced, refuse the sale.
If you suspect that an older person is buying on behalf of someone under 16, refuse the sale.
Remember – you commit an offence if:
you sell spray paints to anyone under 16.
