Temporary Event Notice

 
If you are holding a one-off event or special occasion that involves alcohol, entertainment or late night refreshment, you do not always need a Premises Licence.

Instead, you can submit a Temporary Event Notice to the Council.

However, you can only do this if:

  • You are over 18 years old
  • No more than 499 persons are at the event at any one time
  • The premises or part of the premises may be subject to no more than twelve Temporary Event Notices in a calendar year, or be used on an aggregate of more than fifteen days per calendar year
  • One Temporary Event Notice may span a continuous period of no more than 96 hours
  • Personal Licence holders you may give up to fity Temporary Event Notices per calendar year
  • Non Personal Licence holders may only give up to five Temporary Event Notices per calendar year
  • Twenty four hours must elapse between the end of an event specified in one Temporary Event Notice and the start of an event specified in a separate Temporary Event Notice
