Apply for a Club Premises Certificate

1. Make sure you are a qualifying club.

2. Read the available guidance

• Read the 'Registered clubs' document in the Guidance notes about the Licensing Act 2003.
• Read Applying for a Club Registration Certificate.
• Read the Offences document in the Licensing Act 2003 Guidance notes page. This fact sheet contains a list of offences that can be committed under the Licensing Act 2003, and the penalties.
• Read the Greenwich Licensing Policy.

3. Fill in the application forms

• Complete the application form. You can download this from the The Department for Culture, Media and Sport website, or contact us and we will post one to you.
• Complete a ‘Declaration for a Club Premises Certificate’, which you can also find on the The Department for Culture, Media and Sport website.

4. Submit your application

• Post the forms to us (see Contact us for the address), with the following documentation:
  • A cheque for the application fee (payable to Greenwich Council) – see the Licensing Act 2003 Fee Schedule.
  • A plan of the premises – see the Submitting a plan page.
• Post a copy of your application forms and premises plan to all the responsible authorities.
