Advertising your application

1. Display a notice at the premises

• You must advertise your application with this notice for 28 days.
• The notice must be displayed in a position where people passing in the street can easily read it. 
• You can download guidance on the Notice to be displayed in Advertising your application - downloads.
• Council officers will check that you have displayed the notice. Your application will not be accepted unless this is done.

2. Publish a notice of your application in the local press

• You must do this within five days of making the application.
• You can see Guidance about the newspaper advertisement in Advertising your application - downloads.

3. Send us a copy of the newspaper containing the advertisement
