Procurement at Greenwich

The Council buys a wide range of goods, works and services from external suppliers and contractors. Our aim is to get the best value for money when purchasing, and to continually monitor and improve quality.

The information on these pages is designed to help suppliers and contractors who would like more information about procurement opportunities with the Council.

The links in the menu to the left will help you with information about tendering for contracts with the Council and who to contact for help and information.

Where to start

Our Doing Business with Greenwich Council Guide explains our procurement practices, describes the sorts of goods and services that the Council procures, and gives advice for companies who want to trade with us.

Download our Doing Business with Greenwich Council Guide (pdf 51kb).

You will need a copy of Adobe Reader to download pdf documents. See the Useful links on the right to download a free copy of the reader.

Getting ready for tender

You can read more about who to contact to make your business 'tender-ready' on the New tenders and contract information link in the left menu.

Registering as a contractor or supplier

The Council uses the government-sponsored Constructionline database as the source for selecting contractors and consultants to tender for all Council properties, repair, maintenance and construction projects.

Please visit the Constructionline website to register as a potential contractor or supplier in these areas. The website is listed in the Useful links menu to the right of this page.

Our Approved list and register of suppliers page on the link in the menu to the left of the page will tell you more about the development of Constructionline.

Our Contracts Register page in the left menu will take you to a register of existing contracts.
