The Council buys a wide range of goods, works and services from external suppliers and contractors. Our aim is to get the best value for money when purchasing, and to continually monitor and improve quality.

Getting ready for tender

Registering as a contractor or supplier
The Council uses the government-sponsored Constructionline database as the source for selecting contractors and consultants to tender for all Council properties, repair, maintenance and construction projects.
Please visit the Constructionline website to register as a potential contractor or supplier in these areas. The website is listed in the Useful links menu to the right of this page.
Our Approved list and register of suppliers page on the link in the menu to the left of the page will tell you more about the development of Constructionline.
Our Contracts Register page in the left menu will take you to a register of existing contracts.

The Strategic Procurement Services (SPS) team is responsible for procurement policies and strategy, and the provision and development of procurement services. Our aim is to get the best value for money on all goods, services and works bought by the Council and continually improve the procurement process.
