Help for disabled students
Additional financial help is available to disabled higher education students at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels, and on both part- and full-time courses.
Disabled Students' Allowances help with costs you incur, in attending your course, as a direct result of your disability.
How much you can get does NOT depend on your income or that of your household and, unlike a student loan, this assistance does not have to be repaid.
Other financial help
Financial help may also be available from the
Access to Learning Fund
. This applies to students already on their higher education course.
Your college or university will be able to tell you how to get help from this fund.
Contact details
For further information, and to apply for Disabled Students' Allowances, you should contact Greenwich Council's Student Finance Section using the details at the top right of this page.
Further information
You should also visit the
Aimhigher
web site for further detail about the Allowances.
