Free travel for under 18s
All under 18s in full-time education will get free travel on buses and trams from September 2006.
Eligibility
To be eligible you must:
be 16 or 17, permanently reside within a London Borough and be in full-time education or unwaged training, or
be 18, permanently reside within a London Borough, be in full-time education or unwaged training and apply before the end of the academic year in which you turn 18
Full-time education is defined as 12 hours of guided learning per week for a minimum of ten weeks on further education courses in school sixth forms, sixth form colleges and further education colleges, or as Learning and Skills Council (LSC) arranged Entry to Employment (E2E) or Programme Led Pathways (PLP) work based learning.
Application forms
Application forms will be available at the end of August 2006. Transport for London (TfL) will contact all schools, colleges and work based learning providers with further information on how to request application forms. Individual applicants will be able to collect application forms from Post Offices in the Greater London area from 1 September 2006.
