Transport support
Young people aged over 16 may be eligible for help with the costs of travel between home and school/college in certain circumstances. The funds available for transport costs are limited and the emphasis is on helping school students first. Those attending further education colleges are expected to apply for support from their college.
Find out more about transport support in our Post-16 Transport Policy 2008-09
.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible applicants must:
be resident in the London Borough of Greenwich for the duration of support (any support provided will cease if the student moves out of the borough)
be over 16 and under 19 on 1 September 2006, or
have begun a course before reaching 19 and be continuing with that course.
