Lone parents

Nearly a quarter of families are lone parents - so don't worry, you're not alone!

Greenwich Council wants to make sure that all families get the support they need to give their children the best possible start in life. There is a range of services out there that can help you.

It is important to check what help is available when you are making decisions about work, training or studying - otherwise you might miss out.

If you have questions about tax credits, benefits, childcare, work or child support, our new Lone Parents leaflet can help point you in the right direction. It includes information about:

  • starting work or training
  • help with childcare
  • extra help if you are starting work
  • the Child Support Agency
  • Tax Credits and Benefits
  • local and national organisations.
You can download the Benefits for Lone Parent leaflet or order it using our leaflet order form.
