Statutory Adoption Pay

 
If you are adopting a child, you may be able to get Statutory Adoption Pay.

How much will I get?

Statutory Adoption Pay is paid for up to 39 weeks and is worth up to 90% of your earnings or £117.08 a week (whichever is less). 

How do I apply?

Speak to your employer. You will need to give at least 28 days notice of when you want payment to start.

You will then need to give your employer know that you will be taking adoption leave within seven days of being notified that you have been matched with a child for adoption.
