Many organisations within and outside the borough will be working hard to make the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games a success.
A new unit
To ensure that these organisations work together smoothly, the Council has established a new Olympic and Paralympic unit.

The Olympic Delivery Authority
The Olympic Delivery Authority submitted a planning application for the Olympic and Paralympic Games and legacy transformation.
The 10,000-page document - approved in October 2007 - outlines plans for new sporting venues, infrastructure, parks and post-Games reconfiguration across the host boroughs.
Read the planning application on the London 2012 website.
Other host boroughs
Greenwich is also working closely with the other host boroughs of Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest.
A Five Borough Central Team has been set up to ensure the effective co-ordination among the boroughs, and to make decisions on cross-borough issues.
Stakeholder groups
The Council also brings together diverse groups to gather feedback on plans for the 2012 Games.
