Legacy fund

To ensure the benefits of the London Games last beyond 2012, Greenwich Council will be investing its legacy fund towards:

  • maximising local employment
  • state-of-the-art sports facilities at Thomas Tallis and Crown Wood schools
  • new sports facilities in parks, playgrounds and on housing estates
  • developing an arts festival
  • securing Green Flag status for 12 parks in the borough
  • planting 2,012 trees by 2012.
