There are many ways to increase your level of physical activity, and they do not need to be strenuous or boring. Here are a few ways you can get active without exhausting yourself.

  • Walk more when you can, and drive or take the bus less.

  • Go window shopping - you don't have to buy anything, but at least you're walking.

  • Do some gardening - a bit of digging, weeding and pruning is good for your garden, as well as your health.

  • Dance - get active to your favourite tunes with a partner or a group of friends.

  • Cycle - a great way to have fun with family and friends.

  • Sweep the floor - after all, health and hygiene go hand in hand...
The important thing is to move around more instead of just sitting or lying down.

So go fly a kite, have a leisurely swim, decorate your house... we're sure you can think of even more great ideas!
